Is Love Worth the Effort?

Sat, 10/21/2017 - 17:46 -- Kettle

We need trust.

We need laughter.

We need stories.

We need ears to hear.

We need a shoulder to lean on,

A friend to rely on,

A soldier to learn from,

And a light to our world.

Father and daughter,

Mother and son,

Friend and enemy,

Brother and sister.

What are we,

without love?

We are so angry we steam,

We are dubious and deceitful,

We are lonely and bored,

We are worthless and sorrowful.

Is love worth the effort?

That’s for you to decide.
