Love Is a Understatement

Dear Pop Pop,

Love is a understatement

And everyday that you are not here it hurts a little more

You was my best friend

Only way out of the devils paradise was to spend the evening with you

You prove to me

Love is an understatement

You kept me up at night so the monster couldn’t hurt me

You made me feel safe like a bulletproof jacket in the war

You made sure I feared no man

And trained me to become a strong man I am today

You showed me knowledge was my fist

And my pride rode on my back

How courage can keep my feet going

And to keep my trust in a treasure

You told me that love doesn’t grow on trees

But you proved even more that love is an understatement

Even though your not here with me now

I try my hardest to be a better me

You help me became a bigger and better me

And now that your not here fighting the monsters

You’re in heaven fighting the real battle with satin

Proving once more

Love is a understatement
