To Love Or Not To Love

Love seems so simple

And as beautiful as can be

But at its core, the need for more

Can consume both you and me.

It starts out modest

And innocent at best

But as time goes by, you'll realize why

they say that love is a test.

Honesty is the best policy

Truth will get you the prize

You can't be slow, you can't let go,

Or you'll get caught up in all the lies.

Love was meant to be simple

I wish that that were true

I want to know, oh very much so,

how love would be if it were just me and you.
