Love or Lose

They say you find what you were not looking for, and I sure as hell wasn’t looking for you. It all happened so fast. I was contently lost in singledom with no thoughts I could ever be woken from my solitary slumber. You were the anomaly. You were my exception. For me when I meet someone, I know whether I will fall for them. I know upon our first meeting whether they will grow to be larger than life to me. I knew from the second I first saw you. I knew you deserved the world and I wanted more than anything to give you the entire universe. Your adoration is elevating. You are an angel but gifted me your angel wings and with them I will ascend to pluck the stars out of the sky and rearrange them to make you smile. They say that its better to have loved and lost than not loved at all- but with you there is no loss. With falling for you I don’t feel like I’m stepping off a cliff and falling into water polluted with spiky rocks waiting at the bottom. I may be afraid- but I have nothing to lose. You have already given me the only thing that matters- you.
