Love Is Not Love

Unless they're in it for you

There's nothing left to give

Beg for someone to love

And a reason to live

You want it all for yourself

"You are mine," you will say

They won't remember themselves

And you will pull them away

Unless they meet your needs

There is not reason to try

Plead for someone to have

And a reason to get by

You will pretend it is love

"It's meant to be," you will smile

They will forget who they are

And you will thell them it's worth while

Unless they spill out their hearts

There is no hand you will hold

You'll start to wish for someone new

Before the feelings get old

You will toss them aside

Pretend it's all fun and games

Until they lose themselves to you

And can't find their own way

Until the truth is spilled out

And even then I suppose

You will own all of what they are

And do you know what else?

They won't even know
