Love ... a mystery

Psalm 73:25   New English Translation

25 Whom do I have in heaven but you? On earth there is no one I desire but you.

The mystery of love

Oh, Lord! How do you perceive me?

Do I love you, and I don’t know?

I can’t see it at this moment

And I can’t feel it in my bones

What is love? Can I perceive it?

In the scriptures, you show it well

Is it based on "the" forever?

Is it engrained so I can’t tell?

Love never acts on impulse

Well it never acts at all

It is just there from the deeper inner

That in man untouched through call

You either got or you don’t

It’s got little to do with yourself

Books are written that it’s a choice

But they collect dust on a shelf

True love may be just happen

It just seems to come your way

And that is the best part of it

He sustains it another day
