Love Is Love (LGBT Pride)

Love is Love.

I have pride in who I am,

For who I am is who I want to be.

You see it as a sin,

But I’ll make you see.

Love is Love.

You say it’s wrong,

And against nature.

You call us horrid things,

When will you mature?

Love is Love.

You call us pedophiles,

Trash, and fags.

Even then,

With pride we raise up our flags.

Love is Love.

Do you really enjoy

Living a life that’s so hateful?

You’ve got a hole in your heart and you’re losing control of it.

Well that’s truly distasteful.

Love is Love.

You push us down,

But we will rise up stronger than before.

This isn’t a game,

So why are you keeping score?

Love is Love.

You act as though we chose this,

Like we asked for the hate.

This is just how we were born.

This is our fate.

Love is Love.

Accept us or not,

We still roam this earth.

We’ve only wanted to fit in,

But you’ve been so hateful towards us since birth.

Love is Love.

Before you torment,

Harm and harass,

Walk a mile in our shoes,

And show a bit of class.

Love is Love.

We shouldn’t have to plead and beg,

As it’s far beyond degrading.

Some have given up,

But for others their hope is fading.

Love is Love.

Just let us be,

And hide your hate.

Let’s come together as one,

And wipe clean the slate.
