Love Conquers Pain

Whips and Chains

Yes the scars remain

She progresses, I guess she sees I never complain

Yet she presses and keeps goin, she sees my expression

followed by no confession

She told me that my eyes confessed the lies

Of all the beatings and betrayful hittings

She said love doesn't hurt

But I told her i hurt you

And you know I love you

You like the hair to my Gertrude

So I guess what I'm tryna say is everytime I'm in the mirror

I see that little wild hair ginger child with the shiny black eyes

too good to tell lies

But is forced to represent the ultimate prize

Which lies between the lines

But never exposed

Cuz' she put a band-aid on it

and ain't touched it since the moment

A tear drop fell on my bra

as I looked at the blank wall

All I felt enough to do is crawl.
