The love between Hades and Persephone

God of the underworld feared by all

The mortals think I am the cause of their death, but they just want someone else to blame

I am as in much control as the annoying fly buzzing around your head

But cant a “monster” like me love?

Oh, the love I felt the second my eyes laid upon her angelic skin

The flowers she plucked had no comparison to her flawless beauty

I must have her

Zeus and I conducted a plan to crack the earth for her to fall into my ready arms

My head was clouded by love

But my love was mine, or so I thought

The one who birthed my angle was no other than Demeter her self

Broken-hearted by the disappearance of her kin

The goddess of harvest sent the world into hunger

Abandoning the mortals needs to find her firstborn

For 9 days no mortal could eat

The pain  that coursed through the earth was too much for Helios to handle

He broke the news to Demeter to like a china plate would meet a tiled floor

And soon the patience of the Lightning God were cut

My own blood forced my angle out of my hold and back to her own

I was prepared for this betrayal as almost as if it was expected

My kind words laced with deception had my love eat a pomegranate seed

The smallest fruit had my love trapped in my grasp for at least one-third of the year
