Love and Loss

Lovely lark song leaking through

the lime green leaves

of low lithe trees

letting love and lies linger in the blue.

Standing somberly in the streets

sobbing sorrowfully

stakeout for she

someone who slipped through the sheets.

Solitary soul of summer’s scratch

scars from winter

and skins the slur

of subtle screams ears catch.

Nevermore the near notion

not a night nor

day next before

narrating neurotic devotion.

Dare me darkness, delightful

demons that brag

dogs that drag

deathly, demented, soul.

Loss and love let little lie

taint their lessons

living light cleanse

let be lurking laugh and die.

Vow a very vindictively truth

vivacious narrow

vicious below

victory varies with death.
