Love

The flame burned out

It's dark and cold

The story of us

Will not be told

What we were will not be made into a fairytale

Love is like a rocket lost out in the universe

It starts out bright, magical, beautiful, and very pure

Then slowly comes apart bit by bit, such a tragedy

Blink your eyes

And you will see

Happy ever after

Is not the key

Love can mend your heart of sorrow, neglect, and loneliness

It can tear you down, rip you up, leave you bruised and bleeding

Your mind will spin, constantly in control of your actions till you fall

Fall into a world of despair and happiness morphed into one

The flame burned out,

It's dark and cold

Our love story

Will not be told

Blink your eyes

And you will see

Happy ever after

Is not the key.
