Love is ...

 Galatians 2:20            New English Translation

20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Love is hard to understand in the flesh.

For it seems to fade so quickly in the inner-man

I guess it takes over who I am and how I’m to live

And then it molds me into His Image as only He can

I lose myself, as I am changed, and be able to forgive

Addressing then my soul’s domineering matter?

It can only be distinguished in reality’s evidence

Where the source of love is missing and shattered

To self, as in actual reality, it takes just a little sense.

With the spiritual Love of God, the world just fades away

The nature of God’s love indeed is not interchangeable

But you know with my own love that’s for my own sake

Seems built on feeling and circumstance, so very conditional
