Love

Affection did ooze from your face

Dissolving into an embrace

The sunlight was scraping our backs

The engine apart from its tracks

A flower was picked then for me

While crouching beneath an aged tree

A cold gust then howled in our ear

You tightened my scarf with a sneer

We huddled there until the night

A black sky engulfing the light

The moon broke through hauling so near

I thought it's crash into the pier

Then saw the stars piercing did we

And they too then fell to the sea

Your laughing staccato like hacks

Your fingers dug my skin like jacks

Our hot breaths stayed stretching in place

Until catching in a web made of lace
