Lost In This World

Location

Heart stopping, ears begging for more

I play the strings like a mother

Stroking a childs head.

Softly, whisper the made up lyrics

that escape my heart.

I pick up the pencil

lines crossing like

star crossed lovers

on the road to nowhere,

creating what other's would only

dream of.

I paint my hair the colors of the rainbow,

jewelry in my face,

art on my skin.

I hear the whispers,

Notice the stares,

I smile.

I'm lost in this world

That provides me the life

To be who I am.

A strong, independent woman.

Full of dreams,

Fighting to

Succeed.
