My life has been filled with the hushed sound of the ocean
The whistle of the air past my hair
The stark white boat I've named home
I've been raised to know when to let go of the sails
The direction to head
But what if someone asked me to go on land
To change my surroundings
To face the rough branches of hard trees
The loud beeps of impatient people
Life has turned on me and a change faces me
This time I don't know where to go, left or right maybe even straight
My head is spinning
I miss it, everything I knew is gone.
