The loss & the lesson
I almost lost my best friend once.
She was so beautifully torn at the image of herself,
Always regretting and misconducting her luck.
I almost lost my best friend again.
This time, she ran away with no regrets.
So many looked for her, but she did not want to be found.
And my god, I was so blind.
At what was there, but not mine.
I lost my best friend.
She withered away in dust,
Being remembered but never understood.
For as she was beauty and the world was cruel.
She looked in the mirror and did not recognize,
For what was her and for what she could have been.
I lost my best friend once,
But never again.
