Losing Someone

Is like something no one can contemplate
No one expects it
Yes, we secretly do
But we try to forget because they remind us to

Memories are created
With simple little talks or meals
Short phone calls and long pictures
Laughs and cries no one else understands

Turning your attention to someone else
Not being that other person’s air
Is fatal
They are gone when you least expect it

You wonder how
Then why
Then when
Then, you were the only one that gave them life
