Losing Faith

Ive long walked away

From a faith of things unseen

Refused to stay

For the future I have foreseen

Shackled by these broken chains

That weaken by generation

The future that is weaved

Stained by desperation

A wanting to belong

A purpose that must be met

A faith that is strong

But soon to set

Ive lost my faith

When I found the truth

Experienced the most

Once I lost it all

Must leave my family behind

In order to find my truest self

Been waiting for a sign

Until I realized there is no help

So I walk this journey alone

Waiting to become the man I see

Afraid to leave it all behind

But more afraid of what could be
