Look Down

We’re tough and able, quite indefatigable

At the sight of that placid and bland physiognomy

But listen closely:

In my mind,

Madness takes its toll.

I’m an earth just waiting to quake.

My heart is stone.

Look down.

It’s astounding

Inside your mind

This trophy

Threatened once more

And I’ve got a feeling someone’s gonna be cutting the thread.

Look down.

I’m helpless.

I’m past patiently waitin’

I’m passionately smashin’

Every expectation,

But the elephant is in the room,

And here he comes like Don Juan

Something’s familiar about these strangers like me

As we stumble

Bumble,

Fumble,

Plumble-

A slave of the law.

Look down.
