Longing, or, Of Roses and Rampages

You stepped into my heart lightly at first;

Careful, cautious, and planned.

Something shifted, and suddenly

You were full force, like an F5 tornado in my heart.

Just as things began to blossom,

You were gone.

And all you left in your wake

Was destruction, and the shattered pieces

Of a girl that used to be.
