Longing

Fri, 05/31/2019 - 02:32 -- Ashmi

I’m longing for you. . .

As the robin longs for spring,

I know not what degree of warmth;

Your advent to my frozen xyst shall bring.

I’m longing for you. . .

Please take me where I belong;

Oh! I hope the spring comes soon,

I await the robin sing his first song.

Benumbed are my nerves,

To come and thaw I adjure –

Oh! Come now, quench this longing;

For yours and only yours forever,

I will constantly be belonging.
