I changed my look I changed my style

I change my hair for a little while,

I changed my skirt I changed my dress

I changed the ones I tried to impress,

I changed the shows I used to watch

I changed the ones I loved so much,

I changed the kids I thought were friends

I changed my clothes to match the trends,

I changed the way I saw my life

I changed my wants and wishes alike,

I changed the people I used to see

I changed the way I looked at me.

Then I stepped back and realized

that I had changed my life into lies.

Now, I stare into my own reflection,

but I can’t seem to make any form of connection.

So I changed by life back to what I knew

Now I’m a changed person,

Long overdue.
