A Lonely Spirit

She sits alone

Alone she sits

Waiting for answers

Answers that may never come

Who asks for this?

Who wishes for that?

She looks wide eyed

But still cannot see

We wait

For new beginnings

For old tales

Something with a soul

And a heart to share

Can you be here?

But be gone

Can a laugh

Sound like a song

Her heart drained out to the sea

Carry it to another place

Wait and wait

But it’s gone forever

Inside it lives

It must be numb

Without a feeling

Where does it belong?
