Lonely Soul

The clock ticks

And the water rises

The razor looks

So beautiful

Against her brown skin

Gently, gently it cuts

Weeping blood

A dark ruby,

Rust in the air

Deeper and deeper it goes

In her fairy like wrists

Clatter as it falls

On the blue tiled floor

Her hands feel light

And her heart is sore

Her blood is a cage

And her freedom is at stake

This wretched world

Won’t miss

Another brown girl.

There’s nothing left to stay for,

Nothing left to stay for.

The clock ticks

Her blood pours

From the white tub

To the blue-tiled floor

And she doesn’t want

To stay here anymore

The clock ticks

And her body rises

The tears dry,

And her heart collapses

Her eyes closed

Her blood spent

Her life wasted

Her soul went

Where lonely souls

Go, looking for home

The final home.
