The Lonely

I fell like a water drop

from the skies tears as it cried

for its lost love,

the earth moved silently

and without the moon

the waves were pulled by

storms of jealously as

winds howled for their

long forgotten past

trees shook with

families torn apart,

damaged roots,

everything crumbled

as an earthquake

shook the earth

in a fit of rage

ash fell like snow

onto old bones and crooked smiles

silent screams echoed through the halls

and cracked like thunder

broken tones of emotion

left hanging by a noose by the chapel

where they went to pray

their fragile beliefs shattered,

cut  like glass against pale skin

invisibility cloaked them, but

classmates mocked them

left them broken and crippled,

with nothing but empty hearts

and wounded flesh

as their world fell

like the rain from the sky

as it cried for the lonely

in the coffins as they were buried

underneath layer after layer

of broken screams and

silent prayers as they

slowly faded into oblivion
