Locked Together with a Key

we started off small

locked together like sisters

the world against us

humanity was growing

growing forcefully

the lock never broke

we anticipate it never will

although the connection with others grew

never separated us

but concerned me

thriving a new person

you grew assured of yourself

I grew blundered still serene

there's part of me that worries

remembering me as the other side

you’ll never float away

I won’t let you

I’II dwell on it

must feel certain

certain that you won’t disappear

maintain the trust in myself

certitude as the key

never disintegrate keep a tight hold

be an element of the lock

persevere the key

A really good poem that reads like a song. I also noticed how everything was in lowercase too.
