Live and Learn, Die and Forget

Live and learn, die and forget

I've heard my grandfather say on many days

We go through this life only once and learn from many

But when you die you have a whole new beginning

My grandparents both passed away this past year only a few months apart

Now even though they are both gone, I still carry them in my heart

I often wonder since their depart

Did they live and learn just to die and forget?

Their souls have been restored and their mines are now brand new

Guess now they will only live and learn and never die and forget again.

The simple things in life that we just take for granted don't seem to be so simple

to me anymore

The world may be crazy from time to time but no one had better grandparents than mine.
