The Little Voice

Kelly,

It is me.

I am that little voice inside your head,

telling you that you cannot do this,

telling you that you’re not good enough,

telling you that others are better.

I am the cold, constant, darkness

that grows from the smallest doubt,

that can battle through your head,

that can ruin your whole day.

I am always changing,

as you prove me wrong,

as you block me out,

as you forget me.

I am truly sorry,

for shrinking your confidence,

for making you hesitate,

for shooting you down each day.

Much regret,

Self-Doubt
