The Little Things

I love waking up to a new day

I love the way everything feels okay

I sit in my favorite chair

And drink my chai latte

And life is doable

Because of all the little things

I love sitting down at the dinner table

I love eating until I’m unable

To finish the home-made food my mother makes

And sometimes we’ll all just watch cable

And life is good

Because of all the little things

I love when I get to see my friends

I love when we order pizza on the weekends

I always laugh when they tease me

We’ll hang out for hours before the fun ends

And life is great

Because of all the little things

I love when I see my love of 3 years

We live 3,000 miles apart and it puts me in tears

But luckily we still talk every day

And we’ll remember kissing on the pier

And life is wonderful

Because of all the little things

All the little things grow

And my heart is set aglow

I wouldn’t trade my life for anything

Because I live for the little things
