Little One

If you're anything like me, little one,

There's a lot of things you won't outgrow

- A lot of places you'll call home

Life won't come easy, little one,

If you're anything like me.

If you're anything like me, little one,

Many things will tear your heart

But you'll never let them know,

If you're anything like me.

The wind will sway the willow tree

And the birds will sing their songs

I just hope, little one,

That you'll be able to sing along.

I wish the best for you, little one,

I hope you rise to every dawn

with a smile stretched so wide

It'll barely fit your face.

You'll know love, little one,

You just wait.
