Listening

Revelation 22:17        New English Translation

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say: “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.

Listening

Who listens to the voice that does not originate within self?

Who separates the sound between Satan and our Maker?

Who filters out the guile and let the Truth surface, and who knows

the difference in your estate between truth and the one who fakes it?

I know it starts with hearing as He says: “Come.

No other stuff attached to it for that would be wrong

Thirsting for truth and righteousness, a gift from up above

As God offers us to fill our cup and to accept that we belong.

He stills our hunger for righteousness without removing our appetite

He makes sure we don’t overeat and that procures His reasons

For if we’re stuffed and fat, we cannot move, which makes us a parasite

And time would get away from us and move us out of season
