LISTEN.

PAY ATTENTION

Get ready for this intervention

People are dying

Children are crying

Men are lying

What’s the use trying?

All you hear is talking

News is just so shocking, but

PAY ATTENTION

That’s what all the parents say

When their children go astray

If only we heard and took their advice

Because now we’re paying the price

PAY ATTENTION

There are other opinions than yours

Why don’t you open other doors?

Swing open that gate

Get rid of the hate

LISTEN

That’s truly what you need to do

And really, it’s all up to you

If we all got out of our small little heads

And maybe, just maybe, listened instead

The world could change

I know it sounds strange, but

LISTEN

People all have different views

But that’s what makes you, well, you

If we heard all these ideas

Just opened our ears

Then maybe, just maybe,

We could save all the babies

From hunger and thirst,

Disease and the worst

LISTEN

Peace can be real

We just need to heal,

Feel, and

Learn about others

Because we’re all brothers

LISTEN

If there’s one thing you do

One thing I will ask of you

Please LISTEN

It’s easy

No really, its breezy

Just open your ears

And hear your peers’

Fears

LISTEN

And one day

That someday

Will be here

The truth will glisten

If we give it permission

LISTEN.
