The Light Will Come

And when the day comes, it will be lovely

A world so ablaze with light,

Where the flowers are not stepped on

But that is not today, so today we fight.

It is the dark we battle,

And only a few of us have fire

But if we do not share it

May our torches become our pyres.

For those who have escaped the darkness

Have a duty to return

to share their light with others;

show them a better way can be learned

They'll want nothing to do with flames

Those who have seen no other way.

It challanges the dark they know

so they drive it away

but they must be shown the light

if the world is to survive

So the bright must not be selfish

or silent in their lives

And when the day comes, it will be lovely.

A world so ablaze with light,

Where the flowers are not stepped on,

But that is not today, so today we fight.
