Lifetime Friends

My car ran out of gas, but there was  a station close by.

I walked up to the station, but had no gas can.

A fellow was filling his gas can for his lawn mower and offered to help.

He couldn't lift the can into his truck, but I was able to help.  We drove to my car and got it started.

I drove it to the gas station and he followed me to make sure I got there.

Still did not have my wallet on me so he offered to pay for a   small amount of gas.

Thanked him and offred hep with the lawn that he was supposed to be working on.

Followed him home and realized he was a nighbor.

We are still good friends.

And all this happened because I ran out of gas
