Life's Most Simple Pleasures

Location

The smell of white roses

drenched in cold

morning dew.

The taste of vanilla

melting in my hands

in the orange

sunlight.

The butterflies

exploding in my

stomach

when his warm aura

wanders by.

The freedom

of running barefoot

as the green grass

grazes

my skin.

The strumming of

wooden guitars

to a song from the

Seventies.

The gaiety of twirling

under the Moonlight’s

embrace.

The crackle of

a roaring fire

that tells an

elaborate story.

The gentle touch

of rain

as I dance under its

melody.

The scent of

old books

yellowed with

age.

The surge of

passion

jolting to my pencil

as it spins across

the page.

The most simple

things in life

are the things

that bring me

the most

joy.
