Life was hard and we had our downfalls,
but I was sure we could make it through anything,
so long as we stuck together

I loved you, undoubtedly, more than I loved myself
and that was the problem

It's now that I realize how much of a fool I was,
I wore my heart on my sleeve,
so you went and broke my arm

Almost two years later, I know that what they say is almost true
"Life's a bitch," but I think they meant you
