LIFE WASTED

Fri, 04/13/2018 - 08:01 -- drk6037

I see the shadows on the wall

and I know once and for all,

Of all the pain I did cause.

Because of all my character flaws.

I tremble at the road ahead.

Thinking of the hearts that bled,

Since I was selfish and a fool,

But at the time thought I was cool.

Oh, the vanity and the waste,

Throwing away love with such haste.

So now I face my ego mind,

From the darkness and blind

Of the future and what might hold.

Will it be light or will it be cold?

Know one knows as I trek on,

Wasting life until life is gone.
