Life is a sermon

Hebrews 3:13 New Living Translation (NLT)

13 You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,”

so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.

Hardened by choice

Blistered in conscience ... hardened by choice

Feelings developed only for self

Praising the day in its funeral procession

Songs of the past sounding so well

Smiling profusely ... hiding the heart

Always it struggles to survive this way

Almost too late ... for it  has to depart

Surely at the grave someone will pay

Hope for the hopeless and help for the needy

Signs for the lost with a hand always reaching

Just for the existing ... seldom for the living

Life’s true hunger exposed in good preaching
