LIFE AS A POET PT.2

THERAPIST
Hey zae, how's life?

ZAEMON
I don't know, it's alright. I've been having some weird dreams, like a wicked human being. So I didn't really sleep much last night.

THERAPIST
I'm sorry.

ZAEMON
It's fine. I wish I could have a little me time, you know escape my thoughts and actually sleep right. So I don't have to wake up feeling like the dark knight.

THERAPIST
Did you have a breakdown?

ZAEMON
Yes, Way more than I honestly asked for.

THERAPIST
Tell me more.

ZAEMON
I have to prepare myself for a tug of war, and honestly it's way more than I truly asked for. I hate to live in this type of mind, where you can't escape yourself. It destroys your mental health.

THERAPIST
Have you ever thought about writing down your problems for helping yourself?

ZAEMON
No, why would I do that? I'm already made out of a lie for keeping it real in the first place. It'll be pointless, so no thanks.

THERAPIST
Whoa wait! But you don't know how many people could relate.

ZAEMON
Relate to what?

THERAPIST
To what you're saying.

ZAEMON
How so?

THERAPIST
There are people going through problems just like you. And For you to write down what you truly feel helps them understand they're not alone. Even though some things may not be relatable. They will still respect you for being true to you.

ZAEMON
I don't know, it seems pointless. Who would honestly read what I'm writing?

THERAPIST
People who are just like you. Creators, overthinkers, go getters, and warriors. You just have to write what you feel is true. And do it for you, and only you.

ZAEMON
I'm afraid, because people don't see me as reliable. I'm just misunderstood by everyone.

THERAPIST
Being misunderstood means you're unique, don't take that as a point of weakness. That's what your mind wants you to do. Being misunderstood is a way of healing. It builds you to be stronger within your own flesh, that's why you grew up faster than the rest. So be proud of it. Keep telling yourself that you're blessed.

ZAEMON
But why do I feel like my reality is such a mess, like you don't really exist?

THERAPIST
Because I don't Zaemon, I'm all in your head. Everything you're saying, you're saying it to yourself. It's a healing process for your mental health. I'm not real, I'm not even your therapist, I'm your continuous.

ZAEMON
What do you mean? You're real to me. You're not just a dream. I'm speaking to you like we're face to face.

THERAPIST
I'm as real as you make me zae, but I'm not there physically. I'm only here mentally. I'm here to guide you to the right directions as the lord told me. Your true reality is the things you can't see, but you know I'm here to guide you to all of your awaiting blessings.

ZAEMON
This can't be real, this has to be a dream.

THERAPIST
If you don't believe me, look up at your ceiling to see what the lord has sent thee.

NARRATOR
Zaemon looks up to the ceiling with a shocking discovery, it was a Bible scripture written in blood, dripping down onto his glass table. He shook in fear, not knowing what was real or fake anymore. He falls backwards onto his bed, hitting his head against the wall. He rubs his head softly, while getting up slowly, to take a closer look of what the scripture says. The scripture read, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
