Life is but a breath,

Flickering, fleeting, fading away,

So easily lost.

So, dear friend, I say,

There is no time for Hating,

or Drama or Cruelty,

Nor will there ever be time for

Intolerance or Violence.

Dearest friend, wouldn’t you say,

There is only time for Love

and Peace and Compassion,

There is always time for

Kindness and Understanding.

Since life is nothing more than a breath,

Perhaps we should utter

upon that single moment,
“I understand.”
