Lies

To whom do you lie to?

To him or her?

It starts as one, but then it grows

One then two three or four

It can’t hurt to tell one more

Soon enough the lies amount

More lies than truths

Then an explosion of confusion and hurt

The truth is found way down and deep

At the bottom of the heap

And pulled out like a book

Then you’re in trouble.
