Let Love Wait

Mon, 07/07/2014 - 12:23 -- amc6751

Oh he said he loved me,

said that I was perfection.

But little did I know,

he just needed affection.

His lies were so good,

they tasted like bliss.

I didn't even object

to the very first kiss.

We were so young,

but love seemed so strong.

He took me under his wing,

Made me feel like I belonged.

I gave him everything,

isn't that what love is?

But when the test said yes,

he said that it wasn't his.

When I approached him again,

you won't believe what he said.

"Maybe if you weren't sluttin around,

you'd know the right guy instead."

His friends were cracking up,

and the girls were whispering.

I made my way down the hall,

while my heart was withering.

The rumors kept spreading

like boat leak and water

as I turned down the hall,

I saw "whore" written on my locker.

...

But he said he loved me.
