Let Dreams Be Free

Location

One who’s life must seem

to those outside

imaginary, must then wish for

Dreams to come true

Yes, for that I importune,

God or Goddess that be:

Let Dreams be free.

The liminal bound’ry, let it dissolve

(that separates daydream

from the sweet  halls)

Of gold,

that shone once in old

Reality,

to which was sworn fealty

Let then, as that is no more,

The dreams of the peasants, serfs and the whores

that into which shone the same yellow light:

Let waking dissolve, and let them take flight

The dreams (that inside themselves seem

to hold all the qual’ties of hard mortal life)

Let bound’ry be naught between them and the sun

Lord, let all dreams rise! Now take flight!
