What Grief and Anger Taught Me

Love taught me well, but

it also left me with pain

and plenty of hurt

Anger taught me well

Bitter and driven by rage,

but it left me drained

Grief taught me better

Allowed solemn reflection,

but I could not rest

Now I am content

My emotions well spent but

thankful for the pain
