Lesson Plans

Show me a sex ed lesson plan that teaches kids sex is an act of adoration

a communion of spirits

a sacred ritual

Where kids learn that it's ok to commune with the same spirit for the rest of your life

But it's also ok to commune once with a spirit who deserves you

Who wants you as you are

And show me a sex ed lesson plan where rape isn't called "sexual assault" because there's nothing remotely sexual about an act of violence

Where kids learn that those things cannot define you as a person

That you are not the sum of the violent acts inflicted upon you

That no matter how dark the world seems, someday somebody will show you there is still adoration

There is still communion

There is still reverence for the ritual

Show me a sex ed lesson plan where obligation and pressure are to be crushed beneath the weight of self-esteem

Where kids learn that what you want is just as important as what anyone else wants

And that standing up for yourself is beautiful

Show me a sex ed lesson plan where kids are not made to be ashamed of their bodies

Where kids are never led to believe that your character is based on how much skin you show

Because we're all naked under our clothes, for godssakes

And the human body is incredible, and sex is a celebration of togetherness

Keep it simple:

You are just as valuable and wonderful as everybody else

Show me that lesson plan

and I'll teach the hell out of it.
