A Lesser Banishing

Punish me for what I have done,
Or punish me for what I have not.
We were one,
And she strangled my love.

Deem I am at fault,
Or suppose I shall succumb.
We were synchronized, and I soon fell numb
from loss of circulation,

Only because I left that place.
