No longer are we shouting "FREE AT LAST!"
We are now lasting free.
I am no longer judged by the color of my skin, but the true content of my character,
All thanks to phenomenal activists like Ella Baker, Bayard Rustin and Dr. Martin Luther King.

Segregation is nonexistent and Jim Crow laws are buried and gone.
People of all races can now share the same facilities, walk side-by-side and be left alone.
The freedom that they prayed for, we wake up to everyday.
We could not even imagine a world any other way.

If I could tell icons of the Civil Rights Movement anything I would say, "This is for You."
They spent their last breath fighting for minorities, like myself, our inalienable rights due.
The legacy of the Movement will forever remain.
Their test is now our testimony, our victories rooted from their pain.
