Lay My Cards On Your Table

Location

lay my cards on your table...tell me my fate

tell me where we stand on that thin line between love and hate

since you control my memory, please just allow me to forget

and since you make all my decisions, just leave me without regrets

home is where the heart is, so i know you dont live with me

love doesnt cost a thing but the best things in life are free

your love arrived on time, you started with a clean slate

but when your early your on time and when your on time your late

look into my eyes for beauty is in the eye of the beholder

tell me to lean on you but who wants to cry on a cold shoulder?

your innocent until proven guilty so i guess you have something to prove

what am i to do when my heart says leave and my feet refuse to move?

patience is a virtue, but tomorrow isnt a guarentee

if you dont like the way things are change them but this is fait accompli

get to know someone before you decide to judge a book by its cover

be sure not to burn your bridges because you may have to cross back over

attracted to the finer things in life but everything that glitters isnt gold

lay my cards on your table...tell me what my future holds

my favorite part is the suspense built in the elipses in the first and last lines
