"Last Year's Corpses Make This Year's Fertilizer"

I’m sorry you have been laid to rest
But I don’t regret my choices
You dragged me down
Never gave me room to grow
I just needed that small bit of sunlight
But you were the only one sun bathing
I’m sorry for the way you had to die
So sudden
Abrupt
But for me it was worth it
I never understood “pushing daisies”
Until they told me
Last year’s corpses make this year’s fertilizer
Because you have died
I can blossom
Because you have died
I can grow
