the last time

if i had known this would be the last outfit you would see me in

i probably would have chosen different underwear

i wouldn't want the paramedics to see these worn white cotton ones

if i had known this would be our last conversation

i would have chosen different words

something more meaningful than "how about thai?"

if i had a choice

this wouldn't be your last memory of me, unconcious on the kitchen floor

if i could i would take it all with me,

your pain,

your grief,

your tears,

i would tell you that it doesn't hurt and pull you in for one last kiss

if i had known
